New Sphere Class Star Princess Debuts in 2025
Princess Cruises is set to debut the Star Princess in Fall 2025. This marks the second ship in its innovative Sphere Class. Following the success of its sister ship, the Sun Princess, the Star will feature the same awe-inspiring design elements. The namesake Sphere, a glass-enclosed Piazza at the heart of the ship, wows guests as the board the ship on embarkation day. And the Dome, a stunning geodesic structure on the top deck, offers a unique venue day and night. Princess has used guests’ feedback from the Sun Princess to improve the design. They have expanded the non-smoking casino and several favorite restaurants on the Star Princess.

The Piazza: The Heart of the Star Princess
The Piazza on the Star Princess is the vibrant heart of the ship. This stunning, multi-level space serves as the central gathering point for guests. Spanning three stories on decks 7, 8, and 9, this architectural marvel is bathed in natural light. It offers panoramic ocean views that connect you to the sea, creating an open, airy ambiance. At its center is a large LED screen that can host live entertainment, enriching the atmosphere with music and performances. The Piazza is designed for relaxation, with suspended seating areas where guests can unwind while enjoying a drink or simply people-watch as they take in the lively atmosphere.
The Piazza flows seamlessly into the Sphere, a suspended, outward-facing hub that exemplifies the design philosophy of the Sphere Class. This space invites guests to enjoy expansive ocean views while blending indoor and outdoor living, creating a sophisticated yet laid-back ambiance.
